ACADEMIC PLANNING UNIT

The Academic Planning Unit was established in August 2006. It operates in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office. The Unit’s pioneer Acting Director was Prof. A.O.Y. Raji. The current Acting Director is Dr. S.L Nurudeen, assisted by three Planning Officers, Mrs. J.A. Afolayan,  Mr. L.O. Oladimeji and Mr. K.A. Adeniyi . The Ag. Director of the Unit is directly responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University concerning academics.

Furthermore, the unit is responsible for the internal quality assurance of the physical facilities and academic equipment in the University. Despite this, the Unit also oversees the external quality assurance carried out by the National Universities Commission (N.U.C) in terms of resource verification and accreditation of academic programmes.

Finally, the Unit works with the Directorate of Quality Assurance of the University in order to control the institution’s academic process and uplift the standard of relative equipment in the University.
