The Vice-Chancellor, Al-Hikmah University, Prof. Sulyman Age Abdulkareem, has disclosed that not less than 950 students are expected to take their Matriculation Oath at the University’s 10th Matriculation Ceremony.

The Vice-Chancellor disclosed this while presenting his welcome address at the 2014/2015 Matriculation Ceremony, which was held on Friday, February 6, 2015, at the University’s Main Auditorium.

Professor Abdulkareem also noted that there had been a steady and encouraging growth in students’ population since the inception of the University, an achievement he described as “a manifestation of the blessing of Allah and an indication that the University is coming of age”

He urged the new students to pray, work hard and rely on Allah’s blessing to succeed. He advised them to eschew examination malpractice, the punishment for which was expulsion from the University.

The Vice-Chancellor also admonished the matriculants to avoid being arrogant, as arrogance destroyed Satan.

He commended the matriculants’ parents for their huge investments on their children and promised that the University would do everything possible to justify the trust the parents had in the University.
