QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITIONS

Computer literacy is required for all positions

1. Professor { AHUASS 07}:

Applicants must be authorities in the relevant field with Ph.D. degree (or Postgraduate Fellowship in relevant field for the Faculty of Health Sciences) from any reputable University with evidence of scholarly publications in reputable local, national and international journals with relevant professional bodies where applicable. Applicants must have had at least three {3} years full- time University teaching, research and administrative experience since becoming Associate Professor. Applicants who have been Senior Lecturer for a minimum of six years may be considered for appointment.

1. Associate Professor { AHUASS 06}:

Applicants must be authorities in the relevant field with Ph.D. degree (or Postgraduate Fellowship in relevant field for the Faculty of Health Sciences) from any reputable University with evidence of scholarly publications in reputable local, national and international journals with relevant professional bodies where applicable. Applicants must have had at least three {3} years full- time University teaching, research and administrative experience since becoming Senior Lecturer.

NON-ACADEMIC STAFF

Please note that computer competency and NYSC discharge certificate/certificate of exemption are mandatory where applicable.

1. Principal Assistant Registrar (AHUSS 13):

Candidates must possess O’ Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language with a minimum of pass in Mathematics and a good University degree from any recognized University plus twelve (12) years cognate experience and evidence of membership of a registered professional body. A Master’s degree plus ten (10) years cognate experience and evidence ofmembership of a registered professional body may be accepted.

1. 2. Assistant Registrar (AHUSS 09):

Candidates must have O’Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language with a minimum of pass in Mathematics and a good University degree plus five (5) years cognate experience and evidence of membership of a registered professional body. A Master’s degree may be accepted.

3. Administrative Assistant

(AHUSS07)

Candidates must possess O’Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language with a minimum of pass in Mathematics and a good University degree.

4. Confidential Secretary

(AHUSS 07)

Candidates must possess O’Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language with pass in Mathematics and B.Sc./HND in Secretarial Studies or any related discipline from a recognized University or Institution.

5.Chief Accountant (AHUSS 13):

Candidates must have O’Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language and Mathematics plus B.Sc./HND Accounting from a recognized University or Institution with at least ten (10) years cognate experience. Must have ICAN professional certificate.

1. Principal Accountant (AHUSS 11):

Same qualifications as for 5 above with at least seven (7) years cognate experience.

1. Senior Accountant (AHUSS 09):

Same qualifications as for 5 above with at least five (5) years cognate experience.

1. Chief Internal Auditor (AHUSS 13):

Same qualifications as for 5 above.

1. Principal Internal Auditor (AHUSS 11):

Same as for 6 above.

1. Senior Medical Officer I (AHUSS 12):

Candidates must possess O’Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language and Mathematics plus Basic Medical Certificate (MB; BS) from a recognized University and at least 5 years.

1. Medical Laboratory Scientist (AHUSS 09): Candidates must possess O’Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language and Mathematics plus BMLS from a recognized University.
2. Female Da’awahOfficer (AHUSS 07):

Candidates must possess O’Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language and first degree in Arabic Language or Islamic Studies from a recognized University.

14. Male Hall Warden (AHUSS 07):

Candidates must possess O’Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language and a good first degree or HND from a recognized Institution.

15. Male Porter (AHUSS 07):

Candidates must possess O’Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language and a good Universitydegree or HND from a recognized Institution.

16. Digital Security Surveillance Officer (AHUSS 07):

Candidates must possess O’Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language and Mathematics plus B.Sc. computer science/Networking/ Cyber Security.

17. Security Officer (AHUSS 07): Candidates must possess O’Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language and Mathematics plus a degree/HND from any recognized University/Institution. Relevant and training Experience in Security Operations/System is required.

18. Technologist II (AHUSS 07): Candidates must possess O’Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language and Mathematics plus B.Sc./HND/Professional qualification in Geology from a recognized University or Institution.

19. Research Assistant (AHUSS 07): Candidates must possess O’Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language and Mathematics plus a science based degree from any recognized University. Candidates must have competency in Computer packages like Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Access etc. and must be able to use SPSS Software for data analysis.

20. Technologist II: (AHUSS 07): Candidates must possess O’Level Certificate with a minimum of five (5) credits including English Language and Mathematics plus B.Sc./HND inMass Communication/Photo Journalism.

21. Clerical Officer (AHUSS 03):

Candidates must possess O’Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language and at least pass in Mathematics.

22. Laboratory Assistant (AHUSS 03):

Candidates must possess O’Level Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English Language, threerelevantscience subjects and at least pass in Mathematics.

23. Clinic Assistant (AHUSS 03):

Same qualification as for 23 above.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Comparable to what is obtainable in the public Universities in Nigeria.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Applicants should forward application letters, two (2) photocopies of their certificates and detailed Curriculum Vitae (15 copies) to the Registrar, Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin not later than two (2) weeks from the date of this publication. Applicants should indicate in their Curriculum Vitae the positions applied for.

Applicants are requested to inform their Referees to send Confidential Reports on letter-head directly to the Registrar, Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin. They should also advise their Referees to state in their Confidential Reports, the positions applied for and the Departments/Units where the positions are based in the University.
