COLLEGE OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES HOLDS A SYMPOSIUM ON ISLAMIC FINANCING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
The College of Management Sciences of the University, in conjunction with the Management Sciences Students’ Association, is organising a one-day Symposium titled: Islamic Financing and Economic Development, slated for January 30, 2014 at the University auditorium, by 9AM. Given the orientation of this institution, there could not have been a more apt theme than this one for the Symposium.
Two banks with Islamic banking window have been invited to make presentations at the Symposium where the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Sulyman Age Abdulkareem, will be the Chief Host and the Registrar, Alhaja (Chief)Â Rashidat Oladimeji, a Guest Participant, along with all the Professors, Deans of Colleges and Heads of Departments.
The renowned Ilorin-based lawyer, Mallam Yusuf Olaolu Ali (SAN), will be the Chairman of the event, while Engineer Lanre Shagaya is Special Guest-of-Honour. The Moderator of the event is the versatile Dr L.F. Oladimeji of Islamic Studies Department of the University.
This is an event of both historic and developmental relevance from which both town and gown and, in particular, the students of Al-Hikmah University stand to reap a bounteous harvest.
