Professor Ibrahim is a Nigerian Professor of Community Medicine with 24years experience in academics and four years of service at the World Health Organisation.
The new Vice Chancellor has also recorded years of occupational leadership in his profession, among which are President of the Association of Resident Doctors, UDUTHS, State Chairman of the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria. Professor Ibrahim has over 50 publications in national and international journals to his credit. Two of his researches won him over N10million each for National researches commissioned by the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS); N8.2million National Research grant by TETFUND in 2013 and N70 milllion by the Operational Research and Impact Evaluation (ORIE) UK’s DFID Nutrition Research in 2014. He is a member of academic and professional bodies. Among them are Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), International Epidemiological Association (IEA), West African College of Physicians (WCAP) and Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN).
